First Impressions of the Spirit Within Tarot
Moody backdrops, bold silhouettes and lovely illustrations.
This would be a great deck for personal work, journaling and I love reading with these cards.
There is a shiny gloss finish on the cards, and this is the only thing I don’t like about this deck. Regretfully, it might be a dealbreaker for some readers. Discussed in detail in the Spirit Within Tarot video walk-through.
I have to be honest.
I saw the Queen of Cups posted in a Facebook group from someone who recently purchased the deck and it took my breath away!
This card called my name, loud and clear. This is what my soul believes is the essence of the Queen of Cups. A calm, approachable woman, in a safe place ready to listen.
It’s almost like she’s saying, “Tiffany, come sit. I just made some coffee. I’ll pour you some.”
Individuals and characters are represented by shadow figures, silhouetted against interesting and complementary backgrounds. But don’t let this confuse you. There is still plenty of movement, tension, and action in these cards.
Comparing the Spirit Within Tarot to the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck
Anyone familiar with the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot artwork and symbolism will recognize what is featured in this deck.
The cards are borderless, so the illustrations fill the card edge to edge.
The landscapes are layered and shades of color add depth to this world.
The Major Arcana
The cards of the Major Arcana are exciting and intense. Strong contrasts, bold lines and ribbons of poetic movement.
The Minor Arcana
